Glesvær kafe invites everyone to a sport weekend at Glesvær 18-20. October. There will be a focus at water sport, but also some activities onshore.

Strilaman Swimrun 31.08.2019



Glesnes Ungdoms og Idrettslag have the pleasure of inviting Strilaman Swimrun at Glesvær. Swimrun is a competition where you can swim and run together with a mate. The competition takes place on the west side of Sotra and here you and your partner will swim and run from islets to islets in beautiful surroundings.

A total of 800 kg waste from the ocean were collected in the Glesvær area. 20 people were helping, and was saluted with fish soup from Glesvær kafe.

Glesværløpet 28.10.2018



A nice autumn experience for young and old, athletes and competitors.

The trail is 4.3 km and walks around the coastal environment on Glesvær between old boathouse, on well-used farm roads, a little asphalt and a little trail. You can compete on time or go to the tour class and join the race bus for Sund turlag. The race starts and ends at Glesvær kafè, with registration and awards ceremony in the boathouse to Bakke. Parking at the back of the cafe.

St.Hansfeiring og Sommermarknad på Glesvær 23.06.2018

 

 

Traditionally, we are celebrating St.Hans at Glesvær, and this time we also have a summer market.
The time is 23.06.2018 from kl. 13-16: 30 for the market, St.Hansfeiring starts at. 18.

 

 

Between 13:00 and 16:30 we offer:
- Beautiful exhibitor
- Short course in Linedance with Dance Diva
- RIB tour arranged by Coastal Experiences

Prohibited with open fire

 

It is not allowed to use open fire at Glesvær these days. because of high forest fire danger. This is stated by the fire department in Øygarden, Fjell and Sund.

Beach cleaning at Glesvær

 

At Saturday 28.04.2018 we arranged beach cleaning at Glesvær. A total of 125 bags was picked and delivered to a retrieval station.

About us:

 

Glesvær Rorbu has 8 pleasant fisherman cabins for rent. 4 with 2 double bedrooms for 4 people and 4 with 3 double bedrooms for 6 people.  It is possible to rent a boat with outboard motor to all the cabins. Wifi is free for all guests, and there is a good mobile coverage.

 

We also have a room suitable for gatherings and meetings in one of the buildings at the marina. This rooms can seat 35 people for dinner or set up as seminar / meeting facilities. We have all technical means as wifi, projector and whiteboard.
